I saw a shirt that made me smile – “Be a good Yuman.”
Yuma is where the Gila meets the Colorado, where Arizona meets Mexico, California, the Quechan and the Cocopah. Being a good Yuman means meeting people where they are and working respectfully with neighbors from different backgrounds. It also means being secure in your roots and producing where you’re planted.
I am running for Yuma County Superior Court Judge, Division 5.
I am well qualified to accept this judicial role. My professional and personal backgrounds are available on this website for your review, and I humbly ask for your support. If my campaign is successful, I pledge to carry out my judicial duties with integrity and dignity, and to be a good Yuman judge.
With gratitude,

John LeSueur was raised in the great state of Arizona. His love for our nation, our state, and our law have spurred him to seek judicial office.
ABout JohnJohn is running for election in Division 5. Judge Nelson intends to serve to the end of his term but not run for reelection. This means Division 5 will be an “open” seat that will be determined in the November 3, 2026 election.
